I make people and things look AWESOME ... Photographically
I love to create photographs. Sometimes people even give me money to do it. It makes sense, I’ve been doing it for over thirty years, and I’m quite good at it. Though, when it comes to the paid stuff, some folks may be interested in a specific style of work more than a photographer's experience and technical skills. That’s cool, I get it, marketing and specialization are important. But, really, photography isn’t as critical as something like brain surgery, it’s more of an art, which is what I studied at university, by the way. My visual arts background has allowed me to be pretty resourceful and open to a diverse range of optics. The appreciation and understanding I achieved through a myriad of fine art aesthetics have helped me make an easy transition to the commercial advertising and editorial photography market. I'm the kind of person that's always looking for new and different challenges to expand my skills and knowledge base. The experience I've gained and the techniques I've learned by immersing myself into multiple disiplines of the photographic medium have only fortified my analytical and creative acumen in a way concentration in a single speciality cannot. After all, creativity has more to do with finding original solutions to a variety of obstacles, and less to do with individual distinction anyway.
